Ledger Agent Intent: A Single Interface for All Agent Requests

Blog posts

Before You Dive In

  • Ledger Agent Intent, announced today, puts every approval request in one place.
  • Your agents keep working, and with the Ledger signer you own today, the final say stays with you. Approve asynchronously when you are ready.
  • Ledger Atom brings that same protection to your money, logins, and identity, with message encryption coming soon. Reservations are open today.

At Ledger Op3n 2026, I demonstrated everything that works with the Ledger signer in your pocket right now, starting with Ledger Wallet™, the app where you see and manage your whole portfolio, including balances, profit and loss, payments and sending. More than forty service providers compete inside it to offer you the best services, including the recently added ability to borrow against your Bitcoin through Morpho.

If you haven’t tried Ledger Wallet recently, download it from Ledger.com and see what’s new. Most of what we showed on the new device, you can start doing right now, with a signer you may already own.

Ledger Connectivity

For years, you could connect a Ledger device to thousands of apps and websites, but it was never the best experience. Browser extensions. Software wallets sitting in the signing path. Ledger Connectivity removes all of that. You connect your signer directly to the app you want to use. The request appears in plain language on your Secure Screen, and nothing is signed until you confirm on the device.

Ledger Connectivity started with swaps on 1inch and Velora, and it now also covers lending and borrowing on Morpho. More services are landing in the coming days. You can try it today at 1inch.com, Velora.xyz, and Morpho.org.

The Ledger Platform

If you run an app or a website and want this security for your own users, the Ledger Device Management Kit is the place to start. It’s the piece that connects your app to a Ledger signer, and it’s what every wallet has already integrated for Ledger support. It is not limited to wallets: the number one Japanese-language LLM built it into its coding harness to add security to its development practices.

Every enterprise app could be made more secure by integrating Ledger at the moments where security is crucial, and integration is now easier than ever thanks to AI coding and Ledger’s Device Management Kit skill. You don’t need to build a new app. You simply ask your agent to add a capability. Point your agent at developers.ledger.com, and you can have it running today.

Ledger is more than a signer and more than a wallet: it is a platform. Adding Ledger makes your app more secure for the eight million signers already in users’ hands, and gets it ready for Ledger Atom.

Agents

Agents are new AI tools, like new co-workers. They help us do more, faster than ever. But the risks are real, and Ledger’s role in this future is the same as it has always been: protect the user’s key, and keep humans in the loop.

Earlier this year, we published our roadmap for agentic security. It comes down to four jobs.

  1. Secure the connection between you and your agent, so it takes commands only from you.
  2. Protect the secrets you share with it, backed up and recoverable.
  3. Trace every action back to an approval you gave, or a policy you set.
  4. Let you prove you’re human, or that an agent works for you, without handing over your personal information.

Think of a sixteen-year-old and the family car. The keys don’t live in the kid’s bedroom. They live in a parent’s pocket. The kid asks. The parent decides. If it’s Monday morning and they are on their way to school, it’s a yes. If it’s Friday night and they are going out to party, the conversation is different.

That is exactly how Ledger works with agents. The agent never holds the keys. You do. When it needs them, it asks, and you confirm on a secure screen. Ledger Agent Intent is one a a set of security tools that makes this work for people who run and build AI agents

We’ve already made Ledger Wallet and Ledger Enterprise, the applications individuals and financial institutions use to manage digital assets, drivable by agents. To try it, point Claude, Codex, Cursor, or your agent of choice at developers.ledger.com, and it can research, analyze, and prepare a transaction. But it cannot move money unless you approve, or a rule you set allows it. The key stays on your Ledger, out of reach of the agent, and of anyone who takes control of it.

Introducing Ledger Agent Intent

But this leaves one problem. When your agent needs you to sign on your Ledger, it sits and waits for you. And if you run many agents, as I do, you know what that means: a dozen of them, fighting for your attention, all day, every day.

So today, we are announcing the solution: Ledger Agent Intent.

Ledger Agent Intent, launched at Ledger Op3n 2026, brings you a single interface where every request for your approval lands. Your agents can ask for your approval and keep moving without waiting for you. You approve asynchronously when you are ready.

It gives you secure approvals from all your harnesses and agents in a single UI. It’s rare to get easier use and better security in a single package, and Ledger Agent Intent is one of those rare instances.

Here is how it works in practice, with the partners we showed at Ledger Op3n.

Grok Bot: An Invoice, Approved on Your Ledger

In this example, I ask Grok Bot to prepare a payment once an invoice I’m expecting comes through. It monitors my inbox in the background, and when the proposal is ready, it sends it to Agent Intent for my approval.

I review the request on my own time and approve it with my Ledger Nano™ Gen 5. Transaction Check and Clear Signing show me on my Secure Screen exactly what I am approving. The agent doesn’t approve the payment. I do, with my Ledger signer, on the blockchain, with private keys as secure as on any other Ledger platform.

Private AI with Venice AI

Many people don’t want their wallet addresses and balances flowing through companies that store and train on their data, and we respect that. That is where Venice AI comes in.

In the demo, my agent shops for me, fills the cart, reaches checkout, and asks me to confirm the payment on my device. I was buying two bright yellow coffee machines. I review the request in Ledger Agent Intent and confirm on my device, and the purchase isn’t complete until I approve it on my Ledger signer. Thanks to Venice AI, my personal details stay private from the model provider.

Many Agents, One Queue with OpenClaw

Ledger Agent Intent works with any AI agent or harness, including Grokbot, Hermes, Muse, dot, and OpenClaw.

OpenClaw runs multiple sub-agents at once, each asking for something different, which could easily turn into chaos. With Agent Intent, every request lands in one interface and gets approved securely with my Ledger signer. One sub-agent wants to delete files. Another wants to deploy code. Another wants to move money. One queue. Approve once. Always allow. Deny.

Pay.sh from Solana

Pay.sh shows the whole journey in one product.

Pay.sh from Solana allows agents to pay for any API. Agents choose stablecoins: they settle in seconds, cost a fraction of a cent, and can be read by code. And a public blockchain is cryptographic by design, which makes hardware-based cryptographic security the natural fit.

Pay.sh was built carefully from the start: keys never exposed to the agent, held in the operating system’s keychain, with a prompt for every transaction. Then we added Ledger signer support, which moved them into hardware. Secure, but the agent still stopped to wait for you to sign.

With Agent Intent, the agent can now ask for approvals and budget top-ups without waiting on you, and you sign asynchronously in a queue next to all your approvals from all your agents and harnesses. Within a budget I define, it can then make its micro-payments, such as API calls, x402, or MPP payments, without asking me each time. That is autonomy with bounds.

Agents propose. Humans approve. Hardware enforces. Security and autonomy are no longer a trade-off.

Ledger Agent Intent – Start Today

There are three things you can do, starting right now by experimenting with Ledger Agent Intent.

One thing to be clear about: most of what we showed is not a promise for 2027. It works right now, on the signer you already own. Ledger Atom is where it all comes together, and the signer is where it all starts.

First, download the latest Ledger Wallet and try Ledger Connectivity on 1inch, Velora, and Morpho. If you don’t already have a Ledger signer, you can buy one today and give it a go.

Second, for agent operators, developers or anyone who runs an app, join the Ledger Platform. The portal is open today. You don’t need to build a new app, just add the capability, and your app reaches eight million Ledger signers sold. Integrate once, and it works on every Ledger device, including Ledger Atom. Then point your agent to the Ledger Developer Portal and try Agent Stack and Agent Intent.

Third, reserve Ledger Atom, the security and privacy device that runs everyday apps*. The Founders Edition is available at a special reserve price of $849 and ships in 2027. Reserve it today.

If you run a company, talk to us about Ledger Atom for your team.

We will be announcing more partners for Ledger Atom, with real benefits for early reservations, starting at Solana Breakpoint next month.

The future is agentic. Your agency should be non-negotiable.
