Spend is the latest product from Mercuryo, enabling you to create a virtual card, backed by Mastercard. Mercuryo’s Spend card has been designed exclusively for Ledger users, allowing them to fund the card with cryptocurrency directly within Ledger Live, using Ledger hardware wallet. Spend functions like a traditional debit card, allowing users to make everyday purchases at over 100 million merchants.

With Spend, you can:

• Create your own Spend Mastercard instantly
• Top up your Spend card using your crypto directly within Ledger Live, using your Ledger hardware wallet
• Use your card for online transactions or in store via Apple Pay or Google Pay

To get your Spend card, you should proceed as follows:

1. In Ledger Live App, click ‘Card’, select your country of residence, and choose Spend card.
2. Sign in to Mercuryo
3. Enter the amount you wish to top up your card with and the cryptocurrency account you want to use to fund it.
4. If you haven’t already been verified, you’ll need to complete this using your ID document and a selfie.
5. You’ll need your Ledger device to be connected and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the funding. 
6. Once validated, your crypto will be converted into fiat, added to your card balance and your card will be issued. You can then see your card details and use it.

To add Spend to Apple Pay:

1. Open your Ledger Live and click ‘Card’. Then choose Spend card and login.
2. Select ‘Add to Apple Pay’.
3. Follow the instructions provided to add your Spend Card to Apple Pay. If you see a list of card issuers, scroll to the bottom and select “Add another card” to continue.

To add Spend to Google Pay:

1. Open your Ledger Live and click ‘Card’. Then choose Spend card and login.
2. Select ‘Add to Google Pay’.
3. Follow the instructions to add a new card to your Google Pay Wallet.
4. Manually enter your Spend Card details.

Spend is currently available only to EEA residents. To pass the verification process, you must have a valid EEA passport or identification document and provide an address in the EEA. In some cases, a proof of address document may also be required.
