Swap Solana (SOL)

Secure & Quick Crypto Exchange

If you are looking to exchange SOL for stablecoins or other digital assets, you likely value speed and low costs. However, moving your funds to a centralized exchange or connecting to an unverified decentralized application (dApp) can expose your assets to unnecessary risks.

Ledger offers a different path. You can swap SOL directly from the safety of your cold storage using Ledger Wallet™, our crypto wallet app. By combining the ease of an app with the security of Ledger signers, you maintain full ownership of your private keys throughout the entire process.

*Crypto transaction services are provided by third-party service providers. Ledger provides no advice or recommendations to use any of these third-party services.

Why Swap Solana With Ledger?

Powered by our partners

Security First

When you use a traditional exchange, you lose control of your keys. With Ledger, your private keys are protected by Ledger OS powering the Secure Element in your signer. Ledger works with regulated service providers like Changelly, CIC, and Banxa to ensure your transaction is processed securely without you ever needing to give up self-custody. Deposits are made directly in your Solana Wallet in the blockchain for an experience that is both convenient and safe.

A One-Stop Shop

Ledger Wallet™ is a secure gateway to the Solana ecosystem that offers an intuitive interface. Instead of jumping between browser extensions and various platforms, you can buy SOL, manage, stake, and exchange Solana all in one place. Manage different wallets and cross-chain swaps seamlessly. Stay informed on all sharp movements in your wallets.

Competitive Rates

Ledger Wallet™ integrates with multiple swap providers including major exchanges and brokers. This allows you to compare and choose the best rates for your transaction, ensuring you get the most value out of every Solana exchange. Stick to low fees when swapping tokens.

Frequently Asked Questions

To swap SOL, access Ledger Wallet™, go to the "Swap" section, select your desired cryptocurrency, and follow the on-screen instructions to verify the transaction on your Ledger signer. Generally, it only takes a few minutes to convert SOL into other crypto assets.
Yes. You can exchange SOL for a wide range of stablecoins via our app like USDT or USDC.
While Solana network fees are typically negligible, swap providers charge a service fee which is baked into the quote you see before confirming.
Yes. Because your private keys never leave your signer, and you are using a secure gateway to access vetted service providers, your crypto remains protected from the common risks associated with "hot" software wallets. It's the easiest way to minimize risk when swapping tokens.
Yes. Ledger Wallet™ supports cross-chain swaps, allowing you to move assets between different blockchains, such as ETH and SOL, seamlessly.
Absolutely. Your Ledger signer is designed to be the "root of trust" for your digital assets, regardless of the interface you choose. While Ledger Wallet™ provides the most integrated and secure experience, you can connect your Ledger Stax™, Flex™, or Nano™ to popular third-party interfaces like Phantom, Solflare, and Trust Wallet. How it works: When you pair your signer with a third-party wallet, the interface acts only as a window to view your balance. Your private keys never leave the Secure Element chip of your Ledger device. Even if the third-party wallet or your computer is compromised, a hacker cannot move your SOL without physical access to your signer. Key steps for "True Control" when swapping: Connect as a Hardware Wallet: In your chosen app (e.g., Phantom), select “Add/Connect Wallet” and choose Connect Hardware Wallet. Never import your 24-word recovery phrase into a software wallet; always connect via USB or Bluetooth. Enable Blind Signing (if required): Some advanced Solana dApps require "Blind Signing" to be enabled in the Solana app settings on your physical device. Use this with caution and only on trusted platforms. Verify on the Secure Screen: No matter which interface you use to initiate a swap, always double-check the recipient address and amount on your Ledger signer’s screen before pressing the buttons to confirm. This ensures that "what you see is what you sign." Note: At this time, while MetaMask has introduced multi-chain support, direct connection of Ledger-protected Solana accounts to MetaMask is still in development. For the best experience with Solana DeFi, we recommend using Ledger Wallet™ or the Phantom extension.
