New in Ledger Wallet™: Perpetual Trading, Provided by Yield.xyz, with Security by Ledger
Perpetual trading (perps) is now available inside Ledger Wallet™, provided by Yield.xyz and built on Hyperliquid. For the first time, Ledger users can now access leveraged markets with Clear Signing on their Ledger signer for every transaction, free from compromise.*
Before You Dive In
- Perpetual trading (perps) accounts for more than 70% of all centralized exchange trade volume
- Most perpetual trading happens on platforms with limited security that require blind signing, requiring traders to authorize complex transactions they cannot fully read or verify, in environments that were never built for this level of exposure.
- Perps trading is now available via Ledger Wallet™ provided by Yield.xyz, giving you access to Hyperliquid’s deep liquidity and hardware-backed Clear Signing on your transactions, so you always know exactly what you’re authorising before you sign.
Trade Perps Without Leaving The Ledger Ecosystem
Perpetuals are one of the most active segments of crypto trading, with trading volume reaching $61.7T in 2025. Yet most of it currently happens in environments with limited security. Browser wallets and centralized exchanges (CEXs) require blind signing, asking traders to authorize transactions they cannot read. Every time you bridge assets out of the Ledger ecosystem to trade, you expose yourself to the exact risks you bought a signer to avoid.
Bringing perpetual trading to Ledger Wallet™ changes that. Through this new integration, provided by Yield.xyz, you can now access Hyperliquid, one of the most liquid on-chain perps venues in the space, without ever leaving the security of the Ledger ecosystem. Importantly, this brings Clear Signing on your Ledger signer, so you always know exactly what you are authorizing whenever you deposit funds to your trading account or withdraw your funds.
The market has seen what happens when security is an afterthought, from the collapse of FTX to repeated blind signing exploits. What Ledger brings to perps trading is the security infrastructure the market has always been missing.
The market risk is yours to manage. The environmental risk, from blind signing, hot wallet exposure, and unreadable transactions, no longer has to be.

What Are Perpetual Contracts?
Perpetual contracts (perps) are leveraged trading instruments that let you take long or short positions on the price of an asset, with no fixed expiry on the contract itself. Unlike futures, there is no settlement deadline on perps, and positions stay open until they are closed or liquidated. Experienced traders generally use them to manage directional exposure, hedge positions, or amplify returns.
Perps are among the most actively traded instruments in crypto, with daily volume that consistently outpaces spot trading. That said, perpetual trading is a sophisticated instrument with high financial risk. While no tool can eliminate financial risk, Ledger ensures the technical execution of the perps trade remains secure.
This integration is built to provide the secure environment of the Ledger ecosystem for experienced traders already active in these markets. Whether you’re an active perps trader seeking to eliminate hot wallet vulnerabilities, or a Ledger user exploring leverage for the first time, this integration gives you access on your terms, with the security of hardware-backed signing at every step.
What Is Hyperliquid?
Hyperliquid is a high-performance on-chain trading protocol built for perpetual markets, with billions in weekly trading volume and deep liquidity across major assets. It is one of the most liquid and active on-chain platforms for perps trading.
Unlike most DEXs, Hyperliquid uses an on-chain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) rather than the Automated Market Maker (AMM) model common in DeFi. This mirrors the approach taken by centralized exchanges, delivering comparable execution speed without requiring you to hand over control of your assets.
Traders already active on Hyperliquid through browser extensions or hot wallets can now access the same markets through Ledger, with hardware-level security at every signing step.
