What is Ledger Op3n?

Ledger’s story began almost 11 years ago, when decentralisation was still a daring experiment centred around Bitcoin. We built our first devices for those early pioneers and every innovation since has served one mission: to empower individuals to own, manage, and grow their digital lives – securely, and free from compromise.

Ledger Op3n 2025 saw enormous success in its 106 debut; with a brand new signer announced – the Ledger Nano Gen5^TM new perspectives around security and self-custody, and key educational drives for students, the conference brought Ledger’s mission of digital ownership to life in cities around the world.

Ledger Op3n is the official event that helps crypto communities, enthusiasts, explorers, and corporations through the Ledger lens. With four events under its belt, every Ledger Op3n event has marked milestones in product innovation, new partnerships and the evolution of crypto culture.

Ledger Op3n: Recap

The first-ever Ledger Op3n took place in Paris, December 2021, bringing together developers, creators, and pioneers of the Web3 movement at La Gaîté Lyrique. Over two days, the event explored the future of self-custody, digital security, and user experience in Web3.

Op3n 2021 saw NFT integrations go live in the Ledger ecosystem, the Ledger Nano S Plus debut, and more – strengthening Ledger’s mission to make digital ownership secure and intuitive for all.

The two editions in 2022 continued to drive this mission powerfully. The June 2022 New York edition brought together creators like Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park), FVCKRENDER, Betty (Deadfellaz), Verbal Ambush, and more. Through music, art, and storytelling, Op3n 2022 demonstrated that crypto was not just about finance but about identity, culture, and the ways we express ourselves in digital spaces.

The December 2022 edition in Paris marked a historic Ledger product milestone: Pascal Gauthier (Ledger CEO), Tony Fadell (inventor of the iPod), and Ian Rogers (Ledger CXO) unveiled the Ledger Stax with its ground-breaking secure-screen. The Ledger Stax completely reimagined how secure self-custody could look and feel.

How 106 Brought Ledger Op3n 2025 to Life

Since Op3n 2022, Ledger’s evolution has taken physical form with 106, our new global headquarters unveiled in 2024. The 106 rue du Temple is an iconic building in Paris, revamped by renowned French architect Franklin Azzi. 

This 7,500 m² Paris landmark transformed a former telephone exchange into a living embodiment of Ledger’s ethos where creativity, culture, and security converge. 

The 106 already serves as a collaborative, community space for crypto and tech ecosystems, with state of the art podcast & video studios, a 360° rooftop with stunning, panoramic Paris views, a music recording studio and wellness rooms including a gym, swimming pool, and more. 

At Op3n 2025, every part of 106 transformed into an interactive canvas, immersive and reflective of a new era of digital ownership.

Op3n 2025 Announcements  

During Op3n 2025, keynotes and panels brought together voices from Ledger and across tech, culture, and finance, while immersive installations let visitors experience security, ownership, and creativity in unexpected ways.

The event marked a major evolution for Ledger:

• A defining shift in language from “hardware wallets” to signers™, reflecting our vision of tools that go beyond storage to become your personal proof of access, authority, and authenticity online.
• The debut of the Ledger Nano Gen5, our next-generation signer for a new era of digital ownership.
• The rebrand of Ledger Live into Ledger Wallet, a single gateway for assets, dApps, and digital identity.

Communities, Students & Partners

This year also saw new spaces for connection and learning. A podcast studio on-site, captured live conversations in the perfect setting, student programs that opened our doors to future builders and leaders, and  limited Ledger merch designed just for Op3n.

Ledger Op3n is a checkpoint for everyone – from students,  to consumers, to enterprises, to KOLs, to creators, to communities, to retailers and beyond. 

Throughout Op3n 2025, Ledger’s 106 HQ was Ledger’s living statement through the day, educating and entertaining invitees with a central spotlight on security. 

With feature performances by well-known electronic artists Avalon Emerson, Bambounou, Mehdi M, and Amina, the 106 also turned up as a spatial audio-visual experience. 

Abraham, an AI project by artist Gene Kogan was the centerpiece to the 2025 Ledger Op3n experience. 

Abraham is an autonomous digital artist that creates original artworks on its own and learns and self-corrects from community feedback. Its collection of 2,500 AI-generated pieces displayed throughout the building created a living, interactive gallery where music, art, and technology came to life.

In simple terms, Ledger Op3n 2025 celebrated how art, AI, and ownership are evolving together, marking the first time Ledger’s new HQ became both an innovation hub and a cultural venue.

Ledger Replay: Taking Digital Ownership Global

Ledger Op3n brings the new wave of digital ownership to Paris, but Ledger Replay takes this wave to the world. It’s how we extend the conversations, culture, and connections from 106 to every corner of the global crypto scene through conferences held around the world. 

From Berlin to Bangkok, Replay is Ledger’s way of showing that the new era of ownership is truly global.
